Do You Remember the Four Fundamental Concepts of Losing Weight

By: Mike Dennison A

When it comes to weight loss, possibly even the most basic of starters recognize that it is critical to add lean muscle mass for our bodies to maximize the body's capability to shed body weight. Not only can lean muscle mass enhance a person's potential in the arena of weight loss by way of a larger metabolic rate, but that lean muscle also grants a host of additional health benefits for an individual.
Lean muscle mass doesn't just occur accidentally though. It requires not merely tons of exertion, but a large amount of properly laser-targeted effort. Solely exercising won't be adequate. You need to train thoroughly. That being said, you will find four principles to training the right way so you can maximize the development of lean muscle mass.
1. Frequency -- Initially, you must make sure of is that you are not working out with weights too frequently. The action of working out, especially lifting weight, tears the muscles. When the body fixes the muscle, it builds in extra protection by building more muscle than was hurt. This is how we build muscle, but if we train before that healing is complete, we are simply re-tearing the muscle before it has recovered. The solution to this is to ensure that wait of a minimum of a couple of days before attempting resistance training again.
2. Volume -- On top of how often we work out, it is important to be cognizant of how much exercise we do as it relates to resistance training. While all exercise will tear the muscle to some extent, the greater the weight that we train with, the longer it takes for us to heal and rebuild the muscle. Naturally, it is necessary to have some resistance or else the exercise will do nothing when it comes to making lean muscle mass.
3. Intensity Level -- The third rule that you need to be careful of is intensity. Just going into the gym and doing a little exercise and then standing around for a few minutes is not an efficient or effective manner to exercise. You should be going from group of exercises to group of exercises with minimal rest periods. Do not give your body a chance to get used to an exercise or rest and you will have a far more effective workout.
4. Progress -- The final key in making lean muscle mass is to keep forcing yourself to go longer and harder. By maximizing the progression of your physical exercise, you will continue challenging your body and continue tearing those muscles so that they can rebuild better and stronger. If you do not keep progressing, eventually you will plateau and no longer make the lean muscle mass that you require to maximize your fat burning power.
These four crucial factors of exercise are fundamental to you conditioning the body you desire. Without them, you will get results that are inferior to the results that you are capable of achieving.
